Meet your host

I’m Paula, and I’m so glad you’re here!

I live in San Jose, CA, and I began scrapbooking over 20 years ago after attending a Creative Memories party. That quickly turned into monthly crops at a local scrapbook store. We also planned several get-aways to scrapbook in Tahoe, Monterey & other fun locations. Over the last eight years I started attending retreats offered by different companies. I hope you’ll join us at one or more of our crops in California and beyond.

Coming to Scrapbook U events for over a decade.

I have been scrapbooking for over 30 years, and have been coming to events sponsored by Scrapbook U for over a decade. Sometimes I come with friends, other times I attend alone. Everyone is so friendly and inclusive — if you don’t come with friends you will certainly make some new ones during the crop! Paula makes sure that we have wonderful accommodations, that the food is great (and plenty of it!), and the workroom is comfortable for all. Did I mention the goodies and the prizes? It’s worth coming just to have a chance to win!

A camaraderie unlike any other group.

I’ve been a scrapbooker for over 25 years but only started going to crops a couple years ago when I retired. I’m hooked! Here’s why I love Scrapbook U: I’ve met a group of new REAL friends at these gatherings. The crop rooms are filled with laughter, love, and support for one another. There is a camaraderie here unlike any other group I’ve experienced. The staff always go out of their way to make sure everyone is safe, happy, and as comfortable as possible. I know when I’m cropping at these events that I will get more pages done than when I’m distracted at home, and I’m surrounded by like-minded people who share ideas, techniques, and supplies.

My first Scrapbook U retreat was a great and very fun event!

I recently attended my first Scrapbook U Retreat which was held in Santa Clara. My daughter and I attended for four days and it was a great and very fun event!! We were both able to complete so many layouts, and it was really nice to have six foot tables for each person. The hotel was lovely, and the food that was provided was delicious. We also met some very nice ladies who will be new scrapbooking friends. It was a great weekend, and we are looking forward to attending a future event at another location, and also hope that it will return to Santa Clara again next year as well.
